I had so much fun cutting my hair for Zichron Menachem because of the Eric Samson Legacy.
If you don't know what Zichron Menachem is, it is a campaign that you cut your hair for jews with cancer in Israel, It was an amazing and memorable experience but I would not be as special as it was without the Eric Samason Legacys help. Hopfully everyone in Israel with Cancer will have a wig and will get better.

Thank you so much for everything you did for me to be able to cut my hair for Zichron Menachem. I am so privileged to have been able to do such a meaningful and inspiring mizva. I know that the kids in Israel that sadly have cancer will feel beautiful and pls G-d they will be at cancer.

Discover was truly incredible. It helped me grow in amazing ways and deepen my Jewish identity even further. Ever since Discover, I’ve looked at the world from a new perspective, and it’s all thanks to the amazing JET team, the madrichim, the guest speakers, and the Eric Samson Legacy Fund.

I will forever be grateful and will never forget this experience.

The High Holiday learning programs at The Beis in Manhattan were dedicated in loving memory of Eric zl.. In his honor, 120 students committed to performing unseen acts of kindness as a living tribute to his enduring legacy.

Eric’s outlook was legendary. We once turned to Eric, z”l, and his beloved Sheila to express our gratitude for their partnership in a project. With his characteristic humility, Eric replied, “Please, don’t thank us. It’s a privilege to be able to participate.”

A few weeks ago Sydenham Shul, in honour of Eric, hosted a ladies Shabbaton for the women of Jhb. We could feel Eric’s presence everywhere and it showed in the love and kindness that was apparent. The kindness, love and warmth that everyone felt towards each other (some complete strangers) came from a very special place. May we continue to spread love and kindness today and every day of our lives.

We were privileged to have met Eric and got to know his wonderful family. His kindness and generosity lives on through his children and grandchildren.

I helped two individuals out with their financial predicaments and rewarded a good deed with a monetary gift. Eric was, and will always be, my inspiration as he was a person of exceptional kindness and generosity and I strive, in my own small way, to emulate that spirit of giving whenever the need arises, and if, and when I am in a position to do so.

I would like to be helpful and kind to people who are old, lonely, or unwell

I never had the privalege of meeting Eric z"l, but my late father Rabbi Avraham Tanzer, always spoke very highly of his integrity, philanthropy and his tremendous love of Klal Yisrael and Eretz Yisrael.

He left an amazing Legacy that we can only admire and strive to follow.

May all the Torah, Mitzvot & Tzedaka of his wonderful family, be an Ilui Neshama

Fortunately, I had the privilege of meeting Grandpa Eric, and for a whole week we had conversations and sat down to eat together.
An amazing and special man — clear-minded, sharp, and full of humility.
From him I learned about love of the land, about giving, and about helping others.
A simple and modest man.

I think that Discover really helped me discover certain parts of my life that I never thought I would explore. Some aspects of life are never talked about, but this camp allowed me to do so. Discover was really helpful in finding who the best version of myself is, and I will be forever grateful for it. Discover amplified my life’s purpose and connected the Jewish side of my life to the everyday side.

Always incredibly special to remember Eric in his birthday month. He reminds us that we each have a responsibility to leave this world in a better place and to do our bit to spread kindness and love. I will always remember his warm and charming smile which he shared with so many. May his memory always be for a blessing and an inspiration to us all. Lots of love to his special family xxx

Eric and Sheila from day 1 when I first met them, treated me as part of their extended family. Always warm and welcoming, I always felt they went out of their way for me . They always had time and were an example in their generosity - not just to me but to others and their staff. Wonderful people that I was blessed to spend time with.

The one common feeling one has when meeting Torah giants is that when you are with them, for however long or short, you are the entire focus of their attention.

Eric, with his humility and genuine intetest in others, was a Torah giant in this manner.

I did not have the privilege of knowing Eric personally, but his legacy lives on through his extraordinary family, whom I am grateful to know. Their kindness, integrity, and generosity are a true reflection of the values he embodied. It’s inspiring to see how his spirit continues to make a difference through them and the kindness they share with others.

I feel so lucky to have known Papa Eric and for him to have been such a focal point in my life. I pledge to continue to honor him through supporting Israel, my community, my family, and to always give where I can. Papa Eric prided himself on giving and would always explain that the more you give the more the universe will give back to you. I am so grateful for this lesson. I cherish all the memories and will never forget him. He was the best role model ever and I love and miss him everyday.

Eric’s life was a testament to the power of giving. He inspired me, my family, and countless communities through his unwavering commitment to the Jewish people and the State of Israel. His generosity was never limited to words; it was lived fully in his actions, setting an enduring standard of leadership and responsibility.
